Festival Kuliner Merdeka 2026 Celebrates Indonesian Flavours, Traditions and Togetherness at Pasar Rakyat Nusa Dua

15 Aug 2026 - 17 Aug 2026

Nusa Dua, Bali — 17 August 2026 — Bali Collection, in collaboration with Bali Bazaar Community, successfully celebrated Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day through Festival Kuliner Merdeka 2026, a three-day celebration held from 15–17 August 2026 at Pasar Rakyat Nusa Dua.

Bringing together food, culture, community, and the festive spirit of Independence Day, the event offered visitors an opportunity to experience Indonesian culinary traditions while enjoying a variety of fun and interactive activities.

One of the highlights was the distribution of approximately 2,000 traditional Indonesian desserts, which were given free to guests throughout the celebration. The initiative allowed visitors to enjoy a selection of beloved traditional treats while celebrating the richness and diversity of Indonesian culinary heritage.

Another crowd favourite was the Rujak Challenge, where participating tenants showcased their own creative takes on the classic Indonesian dish. Guests were invited to taste the creations and vote for their favourite, making the audience an important part of the competition and adding an exciting interactive element to the festival.

The Independence Day spirit continued with a series of traditional Indonesian games, including the iconic tarik tambang (tug of war) and other festive competitions. Guests, tenants, and the community came together to participate, cheer each other on, and enjoy the friendly competition.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the celebration featured traditional Indonesian dance performances and live music featuring national songs, highlighting Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage. The three-day celebration was brought to an energetic close with a performance by DJ Dwidee.

Held at Pasar Rakyat Nusa Dua, Festival Kuliner Merdeka 2026 was more than a culinary celebration. It was a gathering that brought people together through Indonesian food, culture, games, music, and community spirit.

Bali Collection and Bali Bazaar Community would like to extend their appreciation to all participating tenants, performers, partners, and guests who came together to celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day.

Thank you for celebrating the spirit, flavours, and traditions of Indonesia with us at Festival Kuliner Merdeka 2026.
